Evangelos leads technology strategy and execution with a strong focus on business impact. He has a proven track record of setting long term vision and driving organizations to successful execution. He combines deep expertise in the technology sector, and particularly in cloud computing and virtualization, with a solid quantitative finance background and experience in entrepreneurship and startup financing.
He has pioneered the field of cloud computing, devising one of the first blueprints for a public cloud computing platform as part of the XenoServers project, which he led. He is the author of four patents and several peer-reviewed publications, which have been cited more than 500 times. He has served as a program committee member and reviewer in numerous top conferences and journals.
Evangelos holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Finance with Distinction from London Business School. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he was a Senior Research Scientist at T-Labs.
